| Bowser doesn't look terrible, but by no means does he look good either. It must be restated that my dire position with parts made it impossible to make him look good. He has some tail support, which looks pretty stupid, but that doesn't bother me half as much as his face. I think that I've said before that faces are far from my specialty. This is a very true statement. Not a single face I've built ever had a lifelike expression, that's a bit of limitation of parts and other things that I've said WAY TOO MANY DAMN TIMES. I did put some effort into his shell, but nothing really made up for what was lost in facial expression. He looks dull, tired, bored. Not fitting for the fire breathing, princess kidnapping, mushroom commanding turtle he is. Bowser is not by any means a BAD player either, but his lack of speed hurts him plenty. He is a powerhouse with plenty of Ass-Erasing moves, but a nimble character can avoid him with ease and wear him down from a distance. Bowser is at the lower end of good characters to use, but that doesn't make him any less fun to play as. (Here's a piece of trivia: Bowser was the first character I played as when I purchased both the game and the system, and the first game type used was Classic.) |
